The UFC has already chosen its new general director in Brazil. According to a report on the “Combate” channel website, Rio Grande do Sul executive Giovani Decker will be Grace Tourinho’s replacement in the role, and should be officially appointed this Friday (20), the eve of the UFC’s second event in Brazil, in Rio. de Janeiro (RJ).

Decker is the former president of the sporting goods brand Asics in Brazil, being largely responsible for its growth in the national market between 2007 and 2014. During this period, the Brazilian subsidiary came to occupy sixth position in relation to all others on the planet . In addition, he played as a football player in the youth teams of Grêmio and São Paulo.
The UFC has been without a general director in Brazil since November 2014, when Grace Tourinho left the position after a year. Since then, the person responsible for events in the country has been Marshall Zelaznik, the organization's director of international development.
In 2015, the UFC plans to hold seven events in Brazil – the first, in Porto Alegre (RS), took place in February, and the second will be next weekend, in Rio. It is expected that at least one event will take place in Goiânia and another also in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, with Ronda Rousey e Bethe Correia doing the main fight.
