Former Bellator champion is caught in a doping test and receives suspension

Former Bellator light heavyweight champion, Emanuel Newton is yet another fighter on the list of those caught in anti-doping tests in 2015. The American was caught with marijuana in his system shortly after his last fight, on February 27th. , when he lost his title to Liam McGeary.

As a result, the North American organization imposed a 90-day suspension on the athlete, in addition to a fine of US$3. Although the complete results were not released by the Mohegan Department of Athletic Regulation, the entity that regulated the event, it was decided to suspend the athlete as part of a zero tolerance policy for prohibited drugs.
