The discussion about who would win an MMA fight between the UFC champion Ronda Rousey and undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather gained another chapter recently. Manny Pacquiao, who will face the American in one of the most anticipated fights in recent times in boxing, gave his opinion and stated that his friend Rousey would be able to defeat him if the fight went ahead.

In an interview with the program “His and Hers”, on the North American broadcaster “ESPN”, “Pac-Man”, as he is known, gave his opinion on the subject. Asked if the fighter would be able to beat Mayweather, he replied: “I believe so. She is strong. She is strong enough to beat Floyd Mayweather in MMA,” he stated.

Discussions about what would happen in a hypothetical fight between Rousey and Mayweather began last year, with the statement from Dana White, president of the UFC: “She would not only defeat him, but she would also hurt him. She would hurt him badly”, said the leader. Mayweather then minimized the matter, showing ignorance of the North American, including confusing her with a man. After, Mayweather apologized.

The highly anticipated fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao is scheduled for May 2, in Las Vegas (USA). The only free ticket to follow the fight up close was given to Ronda Rousey, as a reward for his devastating victory against Zingano cat, at the end of last month.
