Ismail stated that the meeting aimed to create safety rules for athletes in national competitions, such as mandatory ambulances at events and stricter anti-doping control.
“The important thing now is to do work for the sport, not for the event, the league or confederation. The moment is for unity. This is for the benefit of everyone who makes a living from MMA, everyone will benefit. We need to preserve the physical integrity of athletes and the credibility of MMA as much as possible. The professionalization of this sport is a lifelong dedication of mine and I will not give up on that”, stated Ismail, in a press release.
