The overwhelming dominance of Ronda Rousey in the UFC's women's bantamweight division activated some people's imagination about what a fight between the champion and a man would be like. The UFC president himself, Dana White, joked about the possibility of seeing her fight an athlete from the men's division, and a North American website opened bets for those who believe that the champion will face a man by the end of the year that he comes. However, Rousey herself went public to show herself against the ideas.

The champion believes that the proposal would be unlikely to be approved by a sports regulatory body, such as athletic commissions. However, she made a point of disapproving the moral side of the hypothetical combat. “It’s not realistic. No one will do something like this. The fights are chaotic, anything can happen. And there is no scenario in which we should tolerate a man hitting a woman”, she commented, in an interview with the North American broadcaster “CBS Sports”.

“I don't believe any athletic commission on the planet would tolerate something like that. The fights are always there and here. You always see one person hitting another. I don’t think we should celebrate a man hitting a woman in any scenario,” added the fighter.
