Anderson quotes movie quote in post: 'No one hits as hard as life'

Anderson Silva has maintained silence since the doping episode involving his name was revealed, which came to light last week. This Wednesday (11), the former UFC champion spoke out and made a series of posts in the open group he has on the Viber app.

Maintaining the enigmatic and philosophical tone, the former champion quoted a well-known line from the film Rocky Balboa (2006), said by the main character. “Life is not about how hard you are able to hit, but about how hard you are able to get hit and keep moving forward. No one will hit as hard as life. But it's not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. This is how victory is won. It doesn't matter how much you hit, but how much you can take and keep going. How much you can bear and move on. That's how you win. They won't remember you, they will remember your reputation. So get up and follow your path”, wrote the fighter.

Anderson then published a short training video, with the following caption: “Know that your destiny is shaped by your own thoughts, and not by some force that comes from outside.” The phrase was written by Martin Luther King, an important historical figure in the United States in the fight for black rights.

The Brazilian fighter was caught in a surprise doping test on January 9th, having been caught using anabolic substances. Still without making an official statement on the matter, Anderson will undergo his first trial on February 17th, in Las Vegas (USA).
