The start of the week that marks the long-awaited return of Anderson Silva to the octagon. On Wednesday night (29), in Las Vegas (USA), Spider participated in the first event on the official UFC 183 schedule: open training. The presence of the former champion drew a real crowd to the MGM Grand Garden, where Anderson showed a lot of intensity in his training.

Spider's shine was even more accentuated due to an unusual fact in Ultimate's history: he was the only fighter to participate in open training, as his opponent Nick Diaz he had problems with the flight that brought him to Las Vegas and did not arrive in time for the event.

The special circumstance also caused another rare situation: Spider's training lasted about 45 minutes, more than half an hour beyond the ten minutes that the organization usually suggests athletes spend on stage showing off their skills. With so much time available, Anderson trained in boxing, muay thai, jiu-jitsu and wrestling, always trying some plastic moves and abusing kicks, proving that there really is no longer any fear due to the serious fracture he suffered a year and a month ago.

After the end of the open training session, before speaking to the press, Anderson still made a point of meeting the fans present, most of them Brazilians, who came from different parts of the country just to watch his return.
