After victory, Johnson overtakes Gustafsson and takes the lead in the official rankings

The defeat for Anthony Johnson at UFC Sweden continues to give losses to Alexander Gustafson. After losing his place as the next challenger for the light heavyweight belt, Gustafsson was overtaken by Johnson in the latest update of the official rankings and lost to his rival the first place in the category, which he had held since mid-2013.

In addition to Gustafsson, Johnson also left behind Daniel Cormier, last challenger defeated by the champion Jon Jones. Now the top 5 of the division up to 93 kg has, in this order, Anthony Johnson, Alexander Gustafson, Daniel Cormier, Rashad evans e Ryan bader, which gained two positions after winning Phil Davis in Stockholm.

Now, Mousasi, who knocked out the veteran Dan Henderson, is seventh among middleweights. Hendo, after suffering his fifth defeat in six fights, dropped three positions in the light heavyweight rankings, benefiting Mauritius Shogun, Rafael Feijão e Ovince St Preux, which rose one position each.

Another new feature in the official ranking update was the inclusion of the interim heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum between the Top 15 weight for weight. Werdum debuted on the list in 15th place and joined four other Brazilians who are also on the list: Vitor belfort, Renan Barao, Anderson Silva e José Aldo.
