A twist marked the final stretch of preparations for the VMB 100k. The injury of Alan Nuguette, which prevented him from facing Cezar Mutant in the final of the 'Combat' division, it opened the way for a historic duel: Sergio Moraes, finalist of 'The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 1' and former UFC fighter.
The change reignited the rivalry between the fighters, who faced each other on TUF Brazil 1. The rematch promises to be one of the highlights of the event, which will be held between October 8 and 12 in Brasília. In the first fight, Mutante won by unanimous decision, in one of the most memorable fights in the history of the reality show.
“Receiving the invitation from VMB was a great honor for me. I am a capoeirista and I really admire the work that the event does for the sport. I am preparing intensely for this rematch and I will give my best on the day of the fight”, said Moraes.
VMB 100k
The VMB 100k, which will distribute R$100 in prizes, will be held between October 8th and 12th at Arena Hall, in Brasília. In addition to the highly anticipated clash between Cezar Mutant e Sergio Moraes, the public will be able to follow other exciting disputes, such as the fight for the lightweight belt between Lucas Furacão and Doiny Borracha, in addition to a social program with lectures and workshops for young athletes.
