Poatan or Rountree? Former light heavyweight title challenger predicts 'war' and picks favorite

While names like Michael Bisping, Kamaru Usman e Chael Sonnen are more inclined to believe in a 'zebra' in UFC 307, others opt for the favorite's side and believe in defending the belt Alex Poatán about Khalil rountree, as is the case of the light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) Volkan oezdemir.

In an interview with the 'Inside Fighting' channel, the Swiss, former title challenger and currently ranked sixth in the category, pointed out favoritism for the 'most complete' Alex Poatán, but said he expects a 'war' in the stand-up fight.

“I think Pereira will win. Rountree is dangerous, but I think he is too wild with his hooks and everything. Pereira is more complete, but he will be tough. He will definitely not go to the ground. It will be a war,” said the fighter.

Volkan oezdemir also commented on the strategy of Khalil rountree, who stated that he intended to remain exclusively in the standing fight against Alex Poatán. In the Swiss' opinion, this is the most difficult way to face the Brazilian.

“Of course you want to go in the best department, but I think the floor is the easiest way to deal with Alex Pereira,” pointed out 'No Time'.
