The former UFC featherweight (up to 65,7kg) and lightweight (up to 70,3kg) champion, Conor McGregor, has been the talk of the town again. In an interview with 'Duelbits', the Irishman analyzed the light heavyweight scene (up to 93kg) and stated Alex Poatán as a challenge for any fighter in the category. The statement came to light while the star was commenting on the return of Jiri Prochazka to the octagons.

“Good to see Jiri (Prochazka) back. He’s doing his thing. But at light heavyweight, it all depends on the fit. Pereira (Alex Poatán) is just a bad combination for him. Not just for him, but for many there,” said the Irishman.
Poatan has already 'replaced' McGregor in the UFC
McGregor's analysis gains even more relevance with the return of Jiri Prochazka to the middleweights. The Czech, who was once the light heavyweight champion, is in the preparation phase for his new venture and has been the subject of speculation about his next steps.
McGregor, who is recovering from an injury, followed the UFC 303, an event in which Poatan knocked out Prochazka in the second round. The main fight was set after the Irishman was injured and removed from the card.
