It seemed that Renato Moicano knew what was coming. Two days after 'running over' Benoit Saint-Denis at the opponent's house in the main fight of the UFC Paris, the Brazilian used social media to vent about the Ultimate ranking. In a series of posts, the fighter analyzed the panorama of the category and 'demanded' to move up five positions and occupy sixth place in the ranking in the update that would come in the last hours.

"# 10 Max Holloway is not a lightweight. #9 Raphael Fiziev hasn't fought in a year. #8 Mateusz gamrot comes from defeat. #7 Beneil Dariush comes from defeat. #6 Michael chandler “I haven’t fought in two years. If the UFC rankings aren’t complete s***, I should be ranked sixth in the rankings tomorrow. Because in the last eight months I’ve fought three times and I’m on a six-fight winning streak in the lightweight division with five stoppages,” the fighter wrote.

Hours later, however, reality was very different from Moicano's plans. In an update released in the early hours of Tuesday (01), the 35-year-old from Brasília continued to occupy only 11th place in the ranking and saw the panorama of the division remain static, with the exception of Max Holloway, which lost one position, falling from ninth to tenth.

“The sixth is Michael chandler. If someone doesn't deserve this place, that someone is Michael chandler. He is 2-3 in the UFC, coming off a loss to Dustin poirier in November 2022. Since then he has been sitting around waiting for the return of Conor McGregor and only now he decided to face Charles Oliveira. There's no way I'm not sixth in the lightweight division now", complained the Brazilian.
