Undefeated in the UFC and at a great moment in his career, Caio Borralho revealed that all the achievements are being recognized and valued by the organization lately. After a great victory over Jared Cannonier, the Brazilian stated that Hunter Campbell, Dana White's right-hand man, approached him to praise his performance and promise good choices for his future in the category.

“Campbell was very happy (with my performance). He said, ‘In the top 5 of this sport, you can’t be a guy who gives up, who throws caution to the wind and fights recklessly, and you showed that today. You showed quality and heart, and let’s see what we have for you. I don’t know if it’s going to be Dricus, but I’m going to find a fun fight for you, and then you’re going to fight for the belt.’ I’m looking forward to seeing what that fun fight will be,” Caio told MMA fighting.

Despite the consideration of Dricus Du Plessis, Borralho reinforced his interest in facing Israel adesanya and did not rule out Jiri Prochazka as a potential adversary.

“I hope it’s Adesanya, respectfully, I’m planting that seed little by little. There’s also the Jiri Prochazka, who is moving down (to middleweight), but I don't know if that interests me as much as a fight with Adesanya, for example. For now, all I want is to rest and take some time off. I fought three months ago and now again, so my body needs a quick break, but I'm looking forward to seeing what the UFC has in mind,” he concluded.
