Even though he has been away from the octagon since July 2021, Conor McGregor still manages to be a 'threat' for many fighters. The biggest star in the history of MMA, the Irishman can often find himself very close to a title fight, depending on a big victory.
For over a year now having Michael chandler as an opponent, in a fight scheduled to take place at welterweight (77 kg.), McGregor could emerge as a threat to the main fighters in the category, but not to Shavkat Rakhmonov.

In an interview with the North American website 'MMA Fighting', the Kazakh stated that he had received the proposal to face Belal Muhammad | No. UFC 307, in October, but the champion reportedly denied it. Undefeated in 18 professional fights, Shavkat Rakhmonov was the M77-Global welterweight champion (1 kg.) in 2019, vacating the title to sign with the UFC the following year. With almost 20 fights, the Kazakh defeated all his opponents quickly. In his last appearance, in December, he won Stephen Thompson with a rear naked choke in the second round.
