UFC changes plans and cancels event scheduled for March 7

The attraction, which would be UFC Fight Night 59, will no longer be held, meaning that 2015 will have 44 events

The complete UFC calendar for 2015, released in November last year, has already undergone its first change. The event planned for March 7th will no longer be held, as reported by the North American website “MMA Junkie”.

Ultimate had not officially confirmed either the location or the fights on the card, although there was speculation that the attraction, which would be UFC Fight Night 62, would take place in Windson, Ontario (Canada). However, a UFC spokesperson confirmed that the event will not take place.

With this, the UFC will have 44 events in 2015, with only one confirmed for Canada: UFC 186, in April, which will be in Montreal. However, the UFC's original plan for 2015 called for “three to five” events in the country.
