“From my last fight, the biggest thing I'm trying to work on is controlling my emotions. We feel like this is the biggest detail, where my losses are coming from. Not that the technique isn't there, but sometimes when I take a punch, I stay in a fight and make the fight more difficult than it needs to be”, analyzed the Brazilian.
To help control her emotions, Mackenzie revealed that she was counting on the help of a psychologist in preparation for UFC Abu Dhabi. The Brazilian believes that catching up on her mental health is essential to making her plan of becoming UFC champion more achievable.
“I want to have a long career. I want to be champion. I would like to be champion of two categories. Fighting women can't do that. They take a lot of unnecessary damage. I will always have this up my sleeves if I need to fight. I can fight. I know I have the heart to fight, but I want to have a long career. I think if I'm more rational, I can have everything I need to be a champion”, she concluded.
