Beatriz Ferreira once again made history in women's boxing. This Wednesday (31), the boxer secured, at least, the bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. With a dominant performance, the Brazilian defeated the Dutch Chelsey Heijnen by unanimous decision and stamped her passport to the semifinals of the category up to 60kg.
The Bahian, who had already won silver in Tokyo 2020, continues in search of the brightest gold in Olympic boxing in Paris.

In the next phase, Bia will face a well-known rival: Irish Kellie Harrington, who beat her in the final of the last edition of the Games and 'took away' her Olympic gold. The rematch is scheduled for next Saturday, at 17:08 pm (Brasília time).
With qualification for the semifinals, Bia Ferreira became the first Brazilian to reach the podium in two consecutive editions of the Olympic Games in women's boxing. The athlete, who has collected titles in several international competitions — including the IBF (International Boxing Federation) title, is one of the main names in Brazilian sport and has the chance to win the most coveted title in world boxing.
