Shara Magomedov, a rising promise in the UFC middleweight (up to 83,9kg), caused controversy by harshly criticizing the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games. On his social networks, the Russian classified the event as 'a meme' and stated that only Dana White's organization matters to him.
“Before, I was a big fan of the Olympic Games and I have a lot of objects from previous editions. Now I want to burn it all down. The Olympic Games have become a joke. The UFC is the real Olympic Games for me,” said Magomedov about disappointment with the direction the event took.
