The hectic routine of Alex Poatán, marked by last-minute fights and title defenses, seems to have another chapter about to be written. In a relaxed conversation published on his official YouTube channel, the light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) of UFC gave indications that his next appearance in the Octagon could take place later this year, more precisely in November.
During the chat with his coach and translator, Plínio Cruz, Alex mentioned the possibility of visiting Florianópolis, where another important Rangel Farias lives, who frequently follows the champion's training.

However, Plínio soon made a reservation: the trip would only be possible after the Brazilian's fighting season had ended. “There’s a fight until November,” said the coach.
Plínio's statement, combined with the UFC's tradition of holding a major event in New York in November, lit the flame of fans' expectations. Poatan has already demonstrated on several occasions his preference for fighting in the American city, due to its proximity to his base in the United States.

The expectation surrounding the return of Jon Jones, current linear heavyweight champion, makes the November card even more attractive. The event should be confirmed for edition number 309 and 'Bones' is speculated to do the main fight against Stipe Miocic. Alex already has his name considered in fights against Magomed Ankalayev e Tom aspinall.
