the way of Conor McGregor is close to crossing paths with the current UFC featherweight champion, José Aldo. Ultimate's president, Dana White, confirmed that the Irishman will be the next challenger for the under-66 kg division belt if he wins his next fight, on January 18th, against Dennis Siver, in Boston (USA).

“If he wins this fight in Boston, he will fight for the belt,” said White, in a press conference in the lead-up to UFC 182, reproduced by the North American website “MMA Fighting”.

Asked if the fight could be held in Dublin, Ireland, White was direct: “It's interesting. Did you know that [the Croke Park football stadium] has 90 seats? Yes [the UFC will consider this option],” he said.

However, the director warned fans and the press about the difficulties of McGregor's next commitment. “Everyone is assuming he’s going to go over Siver. No one thought he would win Dustin poirier, but now he's going to go over Siver? I don't count on the egg being inside the chicken, because anything can happen in this sport. So let’s see what happens.”
