Dustin poirier, one of the main names in light weight (up to 70,3kg.) UFC, also stands out for its analysis of fights. In an interview with 'The MMA Hour', he commented on the possibility of Alex Poatán move up a category to face Jon Jones, heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg.).
Poatan, current light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg), comes from an impressive sequence of victories, including knockouts over Israel adesanya e Jiri Prochazka. Jones, considered by many to be the best fighter in the history of the MMA, seeks to expand his legacy in the final stretch of his career.

Analyzing the fighters' styles, Dustin believes that 'Bones' will have an easier time winning if he opts for grappling. For Poirier, Jones' intelligence and experience could be determining factors in an eventual fight in the UFC.
“Man, I think if Jones is going to bet on wrestling… He’s really long and he’s never been knocked out. Jon wouldn't take any chances against him (Poatan). Jon Jones is very intelligent. He is getting old but active. He went to heavyweight and his shelf life in the division is longer than the others,” said the fighter in an interview with The MMA Hour.
The future of the confrontation between Poatan and Jones is still uncertain, but fans' expectations for the fight are only increasing. However, the two fighters remain in speculation in the divisions against names like Magomed Ankalayev e Stipe Miocicrespectively.
