Second place in the UFC light heavyweight rankings (up to 93 kg), Magomed Ankalayev remains firm and strong in the tireless campaign to become the next challenger for the Alex Poatán. The Russian once again used social media to, once again, promise to knock out the Brazilian.

In a publication on the social network 'X' (formerly Twitter), Magomed Ankalayev tagged Dana White and Mick Maynard to ask for a title shot. The Russian reaffirmed that he will 'delete' Alex Poatán if he gets the chance to fight for the belt.

“Alex Pereira stayed away from me for a reason. I understand this is a business. The best fight the best. He's the best for now and I'll keep working. I'm going to knock him out. Mick Maynard, Dana White, there's nothing better than seeing an event where someone goes to sleep. At the end of the year he will be lying down, with his back on the canvas, looking at the light and will ask his corner if he has returned to Brazil. That is a promise. I will knock him out,” he promised.

Magomed Ankalayev The main argument in his favor is the fact that he is the only member of the top 5 light heavyweights who has won. The Russian knocked out the Brazilian Johnny Walker in February, while Jiri Prochazka, Jamahal hill, Jan Blachowicz e Aleksandr Rakic come from defeats.
