Rose Namajunas once again expresses focus on second belt and assesses 'last obstacle'

The former strawweight champion showed confidence that she will fight for the world title again if she beats Tracy Cortez next Saturday (13)

Former Ultimate strawweight champion, Rose namajunas He remains confident in realizing his dream of winning the organization's second belt. In an interview with 'MMA Junkie' before UFC Denver, which takes place this Saturday (13), 'Thug' said he believes that a victory over Tracy Cortez, will place her as the next challenger for the flyweight title (up to 56,7kg).

“I would say I'm sure I can get that title shot with a win (over Tracy Cortez). God willing, I'm healthy, I'm in shape and ready to get there with this victory and the opportunities they want to give me. I can see myself fighting for the belt very soon. It's just a matter of doing my job and fighting to the best of my ability. Everything is possible. When I started my UFC career, this was the vision I had in mind. It wasn't super solid, but I definitely wanted to become champion. And then, somewhere in the back of my mind, I thought about becoming a champion in two divisions too,” said Namajunas.

Number six in the flyweight rankings, Rose is coming off a victory over the Brazilian Amanda ribas in the unanimous decision of the judges, last March. In the main fight of UFC Denver, which takes place next Saturday (13), the former champion will face off against her compatriot Tracy Cortez, currently number 11 in the group classification.
