The UFC has already defined the co-main attraction of the first event it will hold in Porto Alegre (RS), on February 22nd. It will be a duel between the lightweights Edson Barboza, sixth place in the category ranking, and Michael Johnson, the 12th.

Barboza, 28 years old, has won two consecutive victories, defeating Evan dunham in July and Bobby Green in November. Previously, he had suffered his second career defeat when he was submitted by Donald Cerrone, in April. Overall, the Brazilian's record is 15 wins and two losses, and the fight in Porto Alegre will be his fourth for the UFC in Brazil.
Johnson, five months younger, won his last three fights inside the octagon, beating Joe lauzon, Gleison Tibau and Melvin Guillard. The North American has a more irregular record than his next rival, with 15 wins and eight losses.
