After suffering a serious motorcycle accident in June 2008, Edson Draggo He already has a date set to return to the MMA ring. The boxer was announced as one of the attractions of the WFE, an event that takes place on November 21st, at the Fiesta Bahia Hotel, in Salvador. Draggo faces local fighter Squidward, who recently won his fight in Jungle Fight, in Fortaleza.
Draggo emerged as a phenomenon among Brazilian heavyweights in 2004, where he won a series of nine consecutive victories and soon caught the attention of large organizations. He debuted at Pride in 2006, being defeated by judoka Pawel Nastula, in his second fight at the event he also ended up being defeated by the Japanese Yoshihiro Nakao. In his last appearance before suffering the accident, Draggo was defeated by Englishman Gary Turner, at Cage Rage 22.
