Sad night for Thiago Moses. At the end of the UFC Louisville preliminary card, held this Saturday (08), the Brazilian veteran was unable to prevail over the Slovak Ludovit Klein, who showed good striking and efficient takedown defense, and was defeated in a unanimous decision by the judges.
Former top-15 lightweight (up to 70,3kg), Thiago sees his dream of returning to the division's rankings frustrated and suffers his second defeat in three fights. On the other hand, Klein consolidates his good moment by adding his fifth triumph in his last six commitments and can dream of a place in the elite of the group led by Islam makhachev in the next update of the list, scheduled for Tuesday (11).

Night to forget
Driven by a good sequence of victories, Ludovit Klein He began the first round by imposing himself on Thiago in the stand-up fight and defending all of the Brazilian's takedown attempts. The Slovak athlete showed incredible strength and preparation and never succumbed to the Brazilian's excellent jiu-jitsu.
In the second half, Klein continued to fight better on the feet, however, he tried to change the level of the fight and was almost surprised by a leg lock from Thiago. After the scare, the Slovak returned to keep the match going, where he continued to have the advantage until the end.
Instructed by his coaches that he would be at a disadvantage, Thiago tried to get into Ludovit's legs but continued to run into his opponent's good takedown defense. The European athlete managed to keep the fight standing once again by sprawling and defending another attempt from the American Top Team fighter.
In the final minute, Klein landed a blow that knocked Thiago down. Aware of his advantage, the Slovak went to mount and pinned the Brazilian to the ground with punches and elbows until the last bell sounded.
