Moments of apprehension preceded the Brazilian’s fight Eduardo Moura at UFC Louisville this Saturday (8). At the official weigh-in held this Friday (7), the athlete did not make the straw weight (up to 52,1kg), exceeding the limit by 200g, and even appeared unwell during the process.

Despite the scare, the fight against Denise Gomes is still standing, but 'Ronda', as she is known, was fined 20% of her purse for not complying with the weigh-in.

This is the second time in two appearances in the organization that the Brazilian has faced problems with the scale. At her debut, in November 2023, she also exceeded the category limit, citing menstrual problems at the time.

At 30 years old, Eduarda 'Ronda' is considered a promise in the MMA female, boasting an undefeated record of ten victories, nine of which by submission or knockout. The fighter, who began her career in 2022, seeks to establish herself as a force to be feared in the strawweight division.
