Challenger for the interim heavyweight belt (up to 120,2kg), Curtis blaydes turned his 'word machine gun' to Jon Jones. In an interview with 'MMA Hour', the North American belittled the linear champion and praised Tom aspinall, his rival from July 27th at UFC 304.

"Jon Jones won the heavyweight belt from Cyryl Gane, who wasn't the champion. I know Jon's going to hear this and say, 'What? Don't you see me as the best heavyweight?!' No Jon, I don't think you've actually fought a heavyweight. Sorry. I see Aspinall as the guy with the real belt. There’s nothing bad you can say about him,” Blaydes said.
Coming from a knockout over the Brazilian Jailton Malhadinho last March, Blaydes will now go to England to face the current interim champion Tom aspinall and all the local fans, who will be supporting their athlete. Both fighters will take part in the co-main event of UFC 304, which takes place on July 27th.
Recovering from two surgeries and coming off a serious chest injury, Jones has already returned to training gradually and should defend the linear heavyweight belt against Stipe Miocic in November, at the event scheduled for New York (USA).
