In search of recovering from the delicate phase experienced in his career, Alexander Volkanovsky demonstrates that the UFC is still willing to invest in its future in the organization. Despite having been knocked out in his last two appearances, the Australian stated that his next fight will be for the world featherweight title (up to 65,7kg) today in the hands of his last tormentor Ilia Topuria.

“Obviously my next featherweight fight will be for the title. It's just time. I don't know exactly what the plans are, because I haven't pursued the UFC, I'm taking it easy. So I don't know if they have plans. But for a fact I know that my fight will be for the title”, declared Volkanovski in an interview with ESPN.

In a recent statement, the Australian was willing to fight at the last minute at UFC 303, in case the Irishman or North American have problems that prevent them from appearing on June 29th.
