Former UFC champion regrets long wait for Michael Chandler: 'You're wasting your time'

Flyweight legend Demetrious Johnson hinted that the former Bellator could be wasting years of his career waiting for the 'Notorious'

The imminent cancellation of the duel between Conor McGregor e Michael chandler has been taking over the MMA world in recent days. In an interview with 'MMA Fighting', the former flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg) Demetrious Johnson regretted the North American's long wait and suggested that 'Iron' might be wasting precious years of his career.

"We will see. Ultimately, this all sucks. If I were Chandler… As an athlete, you earn your money when you compete. I don't remember the last time Chandler competed. I don't know if he was against Charles (Do Bronx) or Dustin (Poirier) or Justin (Gaethje). I don't know. I don't remember. So for me, he's been on the sidelines to wait and fight Conor McGregor and that may never happen. I just feel like Chandler might be wasting his time,” Demetrious said.

If no change occurs, 'Iron' will return to the octagon on June 29th, at UFC 303, for the expected duel against Conor McGregor. The card will be held at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas (USA).
