protagonist in UFC 302, Islam makhachev reacted to Dana White's statement, which ignored the Ultimate weight-for-pound ranking and confirmed Jon Jones as the best fighter on his squad. In a press conference moments after crashing Dustin poirier, the lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg.) evaluated the boss's opinion. The athlete, however, avoided entering into controversy with the parties.

“This is his (Dana) opinion. I think I saved the event today, because all these fighters are boring, and the audience was almost asleep. Dustin and I had great performances. Dana gave me two bonuses ($50). If it was my first contract, I would be very happy. Now, it’s just ‘ok,’” Makhachev said.
