Two Brazilians who had very different results last Saturday (13), at UFC on FOX 13, experienced similar emotions when the official rankings were updated this Monday (15). Rafael dos Anjos, which hit Nate diaz indisputably, and Claudinha gadelha, who suffered a controversial defeat to Joanna Jedrzejczyk, stood out in the new listing and appeared at the top of their respective categories.

Rafael, who was confirmed by President Dana White as the next challenger for the lightweight belt, took first place in the category, behind only the champion Anthony Pettis. Claudinha is second in the inaugural ranking of the strawweight category, which met its first champion last Friday (12), being succeeded precisely by Joanna Jedrzejczyk and the belt holder Carla esparza.

The first list of fighters in the women's bantamweight division also brought another Brazilian among the top fifteen. This is Ju Thai, from Minas Gerais, which occupies the twelfth position. In addition to the two Brazilians and Jedrzejczyk, only the North American paige vanzant and South Korean Seo Hee Ham were also not part of the cast The Ultimate Fighter 20 and make up the ranking.

Another athlete from Brazil to stand out in the new UFC rankings update was the featherweight Charles of the Bronx. After the victory over Jeremy Stephens, at the TUF 20 Finale, last Friday (12), Charles soared in the category and gained four positions. Now, the jiu-jitsu specialist is already in tenth place among fighters in the 66 kg division.

On the other hand, there were also two Brazilians who had reason to regret the new ranking. Quickly knocked out by Matt Mitrione, Gabriel Napao fell to twelfth in the heavyweight division. Already Jussier formiga, who was supposed to fight last weekend, but ended up being cut due to an injury, lost a position and was surpassed by John Moraga.
