Last Saturday (13), in the fight that closed the UFC on FOX 13 preliminary card, the Brazilian Claudinha gadelha was defeated by the Polish Joanna Jedrzejczyk in a split decision by the judges in the duel that could have defined the next challenger for the new strawweight belt. The Brazilian and her team did not accept the result and already have their next step in mind. On social media, coach Dedé Pederneiras, leader of Nova União, harshly criticized the referees and said he will ask for a reassessment of the setback.

“Losing because your opponent was better is bad, but losing because you were robbed is a terrible feeling. These referees have no idea about MMA. Even knowing the difficulty, Nova União decided to file a request for a reassessment of the Nova União struggle. Claudia Gadelha”, assured Dedé, on his official page on Twitter.

The coach also complained about the lack of accountability for professionals who judge fights in the sport for their supposed mistakes. “The worst thing is having to hear: 'There's no point in filing a lawsuit to review the results because they never change.' It's the same thing as being robbed and being told that there's no point in going to the police station because they won't do anything and you have to accept that you were robbed, go home and work harder. If you make a mistake anywhere in the world you are punished in some way. Why do referees who have no idea about MMA make mistakes and that’s it?”, he asked.

The setback for Joanna Jedrzejczyk was the first in his career Claudinha gadelha. Now, the native of Rio Grande do Norte has a professional record of 12 wins and one loss.
