Looking to achieve his dream fight for the featherweight title (up to 65,7kg.) Diego lopes used social media to challenge big names in the category. Victorious in his last three clashes and currently 14th in the rankings, the Brazilian called up former title challengers and even former Ultimate champions for a possible duel in the organization.
“Yair (Rodriguez), (Brian) Ortega, (Aljamain) Sterling and Bryce mitchell, if you guys want a real fight to get the fans attention, just give me a call. UFC knows where to find me”, declared the fighter on his official UFC account. 'X' (old Twitter).

Attentive to Diego's request, followers showed enthusiasm for the Brazilian's boldness.
“Yair vs Diego in five rounds would be insane,” said one fan.
“The challenges were very well done, but I believe that Diego lopes vs. Sterling is the fight to make. Whoever you fight will be very exciting.”
Considered a great promise in the division, Diego is eager to step into the Octagon again. Known for his talent in grappling, the Brazilian has shown great progress and has already knocked out two opponents in his last appearances. At the UFC 300, the athlete defeated Sodiq Yussuf and asked to face Movsar Evloev, who ended up not responding to the request for a rematch.
