After almost two years away from the sport, Darren till finally returns to action, but this time in a completely new setting: professional boxing. The former challenger for the welterweight belt (up to 77kg.) UFC faces Mexican Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., former world champion in the category, in an event led by the fight between Jake Paul e Mike Tyson, on July 20th, in Texas (USA).

The news was made official this Wednesday (15) by Netflix, the streaming service that will broadcast the show, and by Most Valuable Promotions, the YouTuber's company Jake Paul. The duel will have six rounds in the under-86kg division.

Till, 31 years old, is going through a delicate moment in his career at MMA. The athlete lost his last three fights and won just one of his last six fights.

Despite the turbulent phase, the Briton has a record of 18 wins, five losses and one draw in his career in MMA, including victories over Donald Cerrone e Stephen Thompson and a title fight in 2018, when he was defeated by Tyson Woodley.

On the other side of the ring, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., 38 years old, faces his second opponent from MMA. In 2021, the Mexican faced the UFC legend Anderson Silva, in an exhibition fight that ended in victory for the Brazilian.
