Last week, the UFC athlete Michael Pereira moved the community when disembarking in Rio de Grande do Sul to help flood victims that plague the state. On his social network, the middleweight fighter (up to 83,9kg) made another beautiful gesture by climbing onto the roof of a house to rescue a puppy that was stranded there.

According to Civil Defense data released last Monday (13), around 447 municipalities were affected, with 806 people injured and 147 confirmed deaths. The heavy rains also affected around 2,1 million people, while 538 remain homeless. The impacts of the floods are still being calculated and there is no deadline for the state to return to normality.
Current number 13 in the middleweight rankings, Michel is enjoying the best moment of his career with eight consecutive victories, three of them since moving to the new weight class. In his last commitment, 'Paraense Voador' submitted the Ukrainian Ihor Potieria in just 54 seconds UFC 301, held in Rio de Janeiro. At 30 years old, the Brazilian athlete has an MMA record of 31 positive results and 11 negative results.
