Waldo Cortes-Acosta highlights the president's injustice with a judgment about victory; athlete defeated Robelis Despaigne by points

Despite achieving a great victory at UFC St. Louis and halting the momentum of Robelis Despaigne, Waldo Cortes-Acosta He was harshly criticized by Dana White due to his performance in the Octagon. Dissatisfied with the president's speech, the athlete highlighted the foundation of MMA and suggested that the president watch boxing if he is dissatisfied with his work.

“They are unfair because this is MMA. It's a combination of martial arts in which you throw strikes and kicks, but also go to the ground. There's a lot to it. We are mixing everything, and that also means the ground game”, said Cortes-Acosta in an interview with MMA Junkie.

Considered a big underdog in the bookmakers, Waldo managed to neutralize the skills of the Taekwondo Olympic medalist and triumphed in the judges' unanimous decision by three rounds to zero. At the time, the athlete remained in dominant positions, performed powerful blows, but was unable to defeat his rival via the fast track, a fact that angered Dana White.
