Close to title fight, UFC star suffers car accident and suffers scare

Bantamweight highlight chronicles drama that took place in New York; fighter is doing well

Strong candidate to compete for the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg.), Merab Dvalishvili lived through moments of tension in New York (USA). On his social networks, the athlete confirmed that he had suffered a car accident while a passenger in an app car. The athlete is doing well and admitted to having only suffered one scare.

In the images (see below), the Georgian begins to record the damage caused by the accident. Uninjured, the fighter films the hit cars.

“I'm in New York for a day and within a few hours I had an accident. I was in an 'Uber' and our car was hit by other cars. Look at the damage. I’m fine,” Merab said.

Number one in the bantamweight rankings and owner of a long undefeated streak in the UFC, Dvalishvili hopes to be confirmed as the next challenger for the category belt. Today, the title is held by Sean O'Malley.
