Brazilian improves takedown defense with ex-UFC Rafael Feijão and returns after foot injury

After a month of forced rest to recover from two broken toes, Alex Poatán took the first step on his journey back to the octagon. Guided by the experienced coach and former fighter of UFC, Rafael Feijão, the organization's light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg.) resumed training.

The focus of Poatan's training was takedown defense. In the videos, published on his official 'Instagram' account, the Brazilian hones techniques to keep the fight standing, as well as movements with his back to the cage. He even tried submissions with training partners.

The Brazilian, who established himself as one of the biggest names in the organization after knocking out Jamahal hill in his last fight, in UFC 300, does not hide his eagerness to return to the cage. Participating in Rio de Janeiro, he declared his willingness to return 'as soon as possible'.

Although Poatan's next opponent for the title has not yet been determined, with Magomed Ankalayev e Jiri Prochazka as main candidates, the champion's focus is clear: to defend his belt with mastery. In his career, there are ten positive results and two negative results in his career in professional MMA. He has already beaten names like Israel adesanya, Jiri Prochazka, Jan Blachowicz e Sean Strickland.
