As soon as the fight was over, I thought I had won. It was a great fight and maybe we’ll do it again,” Lawler said at a press conference.
However, Lawler avoided making plans for his first title defense. After a busy year in 2014, in which he had four fights, the American wants to rest. “I can’t wait to go home and be with my family. It was a long year trying to be champion. I want to take some time away and let Dana [White] and Joe [Silva] decide my next fight while I go back to being a family man,” he concluded.
