The young Canadian Rory McDonald is a rising star in the UFC. A top fighter in the welterweight division for a few years now, the athlete has won three consecutive victories in the octagon and has already qualified to compete for the category belt against the winner of John hendricks x Robbie Lawler. However, if you become champion and see Georges St Pierre, his friend and mentor, returns to the UFC, MacDonald has no doubts: he would never face the former owner of the belt.

The 25-year-old Canadian highlighted his gratitude to GSP for everything they have been through together, and believes that a fight between the two would be an injustice to his friend. “A lot of people ask me to face him, this and that. They don't see the things that I see and that I value. I learned so much from him and gained so much from his kindness and what he gave me. I’m not going to forget this and stab him in the back,” explained MacDonald, in an interview with official UFC commentator Joe Rogan’s podcast.

"Wants to know? Life is not just about money. Of course, I do it for the money too, but it was never my goal to be a billionaire. I'm going to live in the countryside one day. Hunting, being weird and not having to hear people call me crazy all the time,” continued the Canadian.

MacDonald said he doesn't know if GSP will return to fighting or not. However, if he returns, he does not believe that their paths will cross. “I think he would only have super fights. I’m almost 100% sure”, he bet.
