Last Saturday (22), the legendary Renzo Gracie and Kazushi Sakuraba met again 14 years after the “Caçador de Gracies” triumph in an MMA fight in the now-defunct PRIDE. This time, however, the duel took place at the submission Metamoris and the result was quite different. If Sakuraba beat the Brazilian via technical submission almost a decade and a half ago, the pair drew after a 20-minute battle in the rematch.

The draw between Sakuraba and Renzo was one of five recorded at Metamoris 5, which had six fights on its record. Only the first duel of the night, in which North American Garry Tonon submitted his compatriot Zak Maxwell with a heel hook, did not end in equality at the event, held in Los Angeles (USA). The other four fights that ended without a winner were: Vinny Magalhães x Matheus Diniz, Yuri Simoes x Keenan Cornelius, Jake Shields x Roberto Satoshi and Rory McDonald x Jonathan Torres.
