Edson Barboza suffered throughout the fight with provocations from Bobby Green. The North American opened his arms, signaled and laughed at the Brazilian's advances. But with 10 seconds left in the contest, with the certainty of victory, it was the athlete from Nova Friburgo who had the last laugh and had the pleasure of returning the provocations.

“Bobby spoke for 14m50s of the fight. With ten seconds left to go, it was my turn to speak. He talked a lot the whole fight. I only spoke at the end (laughs)”, said Barboza at the press conference after the fight, in the early hours of this Sunday.
Edson also revealed that Green's tactic of simply provoking was not enough, as he was sure that the attacks were connected.
“It was funny because every time he shook his head I hit him with a nice blow. I know he felt all my blows. They all hurt him. He said no to try to destabilize me. Most boxers do this, it's normal.
