Days after the controversial victory against Bruno Blindado at UFC Atlantic City, Chris Weidman recorded a frightening injury to his left eye. Victim of the Brazilian's attacks throughout almost 15 minutes of confrontation, the North American shared the condition of the injury which, at the weekend, was already attracting attention due to its swelling.
Highlighted at last Saturday's event (30), Weidman had his positive result questioned by the MMA community. The athlete was the target of criticism after promoting a sequence of fingers in the Brazilian's eyes.

The last infraction committed by Chris determined the end of the fight. In this ocasion, Bruno Blindado ended up asking for a stoppage for assistance, but referee Gary Copeland did not respond to the request.
Initially, Weidman was declared the winner of the fight by technical knockout. After analyzing the images, the referee changed the result, granting victory to the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg) by technical decision, unanimously, by adding up the scores on the sheets.
