With Jon Jones on target, Tom Aspinall answers questions about return date to the UFC

The interim heavyweight champion did not give further details about his future but expressed his interest in fighting again in his home country.

After Dana White announces that Ultimate's return to England is very close to being made official, one of the biggest names in MMA in the country has already been asked about his possible presence on the card. In conversation with his fans on a social network, the interim heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg) Tom aspinall he discussed a probable appearance at the event but made it clear that he has every interest in defending his title against his compatriots.

“I cannot confirm or deny because I will be reprimanded, but I am hearing strong rumors. I'm talking to the UFC right now about what's going to happen, what the next step will be. Nothing I can announce yet,” said Tom.

Aspinall won the interim heavyweight belt in UFC 295, which took place in November 2023, when he knocked out the Russian Sergei Pavlovich in the first round. Right after the triumph, Tom did not hide his desire to unify the titles against the linear champion Jon Jones, however, Dana White has already announced that the sports legend, after recovering from the two surgeries he recently had to undergo, will first face the veteran Stipe Miocic on a date not yet confirmed by the organization.
