Four-time world champion changes his stance and makes fun of knockouts suffered by the former UFC fighter; 'Phenomenon' responds

The war of words between Popó and Belfort intensifies every day. On his Instagram, the four-time world boxing champion published a video “needing” the former boxing fighter. UFC, when remembering the knockouts he suffered to Anderson Silva e Lyoto Machida. In the caption, he was direct: “Vitinho glass chin and Vitor Belfraco”.

The rivalry between the two gained strength after Popó's fight, at the beginning of March this year, when he knocked out Kleber Bambam in just 36 seconds. The impressive performance reignited the desire to face the 'Phenomenon', who remains active in the world of fights, holding exhibitions and seeking new challenges.

The exchange of barbs between the fighters increases expectations for the confrontation, which does not yet have a defined date and location. Weight is also a point of contention, with Popó preferring the up to 80kg category, and Vitor seeking a higher limit, up to 90,7kg.

Belfort's response

Belfort, in turn, didn't take long to respond, with irony: “How desperate to escape the fight, huh, Popó? Let's fight MMA, Boxing. You choose the type of fight. It just won’t pi’popó’car.”

As negotiations progress, the two fighters provoke each other on social media, fueling the rivalry and public expectations. Belfort, with his irreverent style, relies on psychological pressure to wear down Popó. The boxer, experienced in big fights, also responds with the same intensity.
