UFC goes back, confirms new fight for Alexander Volkov and leaves Jailton Malhadinho without an opponent

anticipated by SUPER FIGHTS and confirmed by Jailton Malhadinho through social networks, the fight between Brazilians and Alexander Volkov is no longer part of Ultimate's plans. Instead, Dana White announced in the early hours of this Thursday (28), through video published on a social network, that the Russian will face his compatriot Sergei Pavlovich at UFC Saudi Arabia, on June 22nd.

Sources close to Jailton Malhadinho confirmed to SUPER FIGHTS that the Brazilian had already signed the contract to face Alexander Volkov at UFC 302. With the sudden change in plans, the expectation is that the Brazilian will remain in the event on June 01st against a new rival, not yet defined.

The duel between the Russians Alexander Volkov e Sergei Pavlovich is part of an advertising package made by Dana White for the organization's long-awaited debut in Saudi Arabia, scheduled for June 22nd.
