With Alex Poatan in the spotlight, see the athletes most tested for anti-doping in 2024

After the end of the partnership with USADA, the new agency announced which fighters were most tested in the first three months of the current season

With the end of the partnership with USADA, the new era of combating illegal substances has begun in Ultimate. Newly responsible for the organization's anti-doping tests, “Drug Free Sport International” announced which fighters were most tested in 2024, with emphasis on Conor McGregor e Alex Poatán.

Even without fighting since July 2021, Conor McGregor has been the fighter most tested by the Anti-Doping Agency. In the current season alone, the Irishman has already received visits from agents on five occasions. Next on the list is the current light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) Alex Poatán with two tests in 2024.

With the same number of tests, there are other UFC champions and former champions: Alexander Volkanovsky, Dricus Du Plessis, Sean Strickland, Ilia Topuria.

On social media, fans made a lot of criticism and lamented the lack of other big names like the current lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) Islam makhachevthe star Khamzat Shimaev and the Brazilian Paulo borrachinha, who felt harmed and 'persecuted' during USADA times.
