Amid rumors and even verbal agreements between Islam makhachev e Dustin poirier, the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg.) claims not to care about this whole scenario. Confident in his journey through Ultimate, the Brazilian alleviated the North American's possible concern about 'skipping the queue' and guaranteed that, in the event of a victory in the UFC 300, will face the Russian next.

"Not even a little. I don't think about those things. Everyone knows, next in line is me. I just have to win now. If I win this fight, I'm close to fighting for the title. These guys say a lot of things on the internet. I'm going to fight now and I'm next in line. These guys are on the internet talking nonsense,” said Charles in an interview with 'MMA Mania'.

When cast to face Arman Tsarukyan, Charles had public confirmation from Dana White in which the president indicated that the winner of the confrontation will become the next challenger for the title.
