Scheduled for big fight this Saturday (30) Chris Weidman prepares to measure forces against Bruno Blindado at UFC Atlantic City. At a delicate stage in his career and coming from delicate surgery on his leg, the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg) opened the game and analyzed scenarios for possible retirement after the clash against the Brazilian.
“I’m not looking at the result of this fight to decide if it’s my last. I'm actually going to judge whether it's my last fight or not based on how I feel during training. So probably two things: my motivation, for example, how excited am I to train every day? My pain, how much pain I feel every day, is my body finished? Can I still stand my ground? Can I still compete at the highest level? I'm having fun? It’s the motivation and the pain”, declared Weidman in an interview with 'MMA Fighting'.

By continuing his speech, Weidman reinforced his desire to continue performing in MMA fights.
“If I'm really having a lot of fun, if I love it, and if my pain is low to moderate, I'll keep going. I love this more than anything. I know I'm really good at it and I can do some more big things, but it's only if my body can handle it and I'm still excited to do it.”
Scheduled for the main card of the event, Chris Weidman e Bruno Blindado perform a crucial duel in their careers. Both fighters have won one in their last five fights and are hoping to return to their winning ways. The fight takes place this Saturday (30).
